Cam McWilliams Commits to UVicFormer AJHL Power Forward commits to UVic for 2011/12For Immediate Release

Submitted by BCIHL MediaBurnaby, BC - The University of Victoria Vikes Men's Hockey program is pleased to announce a playing commitment from North Vancouver, B.C.'s Cam McWilliam for the 2011/12 British Columbia Intercollegiate Hockey League season.
The 6-foot-3 forward joins the Vikes from the Alberta Junior Hockey League's Grand Prairie Storm, where he scored three goals and 12 points in 57 games during the 2010/11 season.
McWilliams' AJHL career included 141 total games played between Grand Prairie and the Brooks Bandits. Over three seasons he accumulated seven goals, 24 points and 206 penalty minutes.
"Adding a player of Cam's size and ability marks an excellent start to our offseason recruiting," says University of Victoria head coach Harry Schamhart. "His experience in Junior A hockey and his leadership skills will be a very valuable addition to our team."
McWilliam joins the Vikes following a season that included a third place finish at the BCIHL Championships. He will add to a nucleus of talent that includes reigning League MVP Matthew Bell and promising sophomores Dennis Pavlina and Mark Prest.
