UVIC HOCKEY AND MVP SPORTS PRESENT HENRI RICHARD
NHL Hall-of-Famer to speak at 1st Annual UVic Alumni and Friends Dinner

Victoria,BC – The University of Victoria Hockey Club and MVP Sports Collectibles announced today that the 1st Annual Alumni and Friends dinner will take place on September 9th, 2011 at the Pacific Fleet Club. The dinner will be highlighted by key-note speaker Henri “Pocket Rocket” Richard.

Richard is an 11-time Stanley Cup Champion with the storied Montreal Canadiens. Over 20 seasons as a player for the Canadiens, Richard amassed 1046 points en route to his 11 Stanley Cups, more than any other player in NHL history. The brother of legendary Canadiens star Maurice “The Rocket” Richard, guests of the event will have the opportunity to meet hockey royalty and hear tales of old in his key-note address.

Reception and autographs will take place at 6:00PM while dinner is set for 7:00PM. Tickets are available for $100 and are eligible for a $50 tax credit with all proceeds going to support the University of Victoria Hockey Club. The UVIC Hockey Club, a Vikes Sport Clubs program, is a student-led organization that competes competitively in the BC Intercollegiate Hockey League.
