
UVIC Set for
UVIC (1-1-0) visits TWU (1-5-1) and SFU (5-0-1) this weekend
With a record of 1-5-1, the TWU Spartans had a slow start to the season but are coming off of a solid home stand that saw them earn a decisive victory over
SFU will present a tall task for UVic. The Clan have added a number of former BCHL and AJHL players this offseason and have picked up where they left off with a 5-0-1 record. Simon Fraser boasts four of the top 10 BCIHL point leaders and has a pair of solid net minders. This game will be a tough test for the UVic side as SFU has lost only once at home in the past three years. That loss was courtesy of an underdog UVic side on October 16, 2010.
UVIC is coming off of a road trip to Castlegar, the home of the Saints, three weeks ago where they earned one win and one loss. The 2010/11 BCIHL MVP, Matthew Bell, once again leads the Club with 5 points through the team’s first two games. Rookies
Puck drops are scheduled for 7:45 PM on Friday, November 4th and 7:00 PM on Saturday, October 5th. Due to the World Junior A Challenge, the November 4th game will be played at the George Preston Recreation Centre and will not be streamed due to technical restrictions.
